Tunisia’s Parliament Advances Comprehensive Personal Data Protection Reform
The Rights and Freedoms Committee within Tunisia’s Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) has examined a draft opinion on a proposed organic law dedicated to personal data protection. The bill comprises 123 articles organized into six sections, addressing general provisions, principles governing data processing, the rights of data subjects, data processing systems, the establishment of a personal data protection authority, as well as penalties and transitional measures.
