CNIL imposes subsequent fine of €6,900 on Municipality of Korou
On July 26, 2024, the French data protection authority (CNIL) announced the Deliberation of CNIL’s Restricted Committee No. SAN 2024-009 of July 22, 2024 (Deliberation of July 22). In particular, CNIL highlighted that in the Deliberation of July 22, the Municipality was found not to have complied with the requirements of Decision No. SAN-2023-018 of December 12, 2023 (Decision of December 12) in which CNIL fined the Municipality €5,000 for failing to appoint a data protection officer (DPO).
