PDPA INITIATIVE FILES PETITIONS WITH NDPB AGAINST ORGANISATIONS VIOLATING THE NDPR

In furtherance to our goal which is to promote the protection of personal data and to render probono legal services to data subjects seeking to enforce their data protection rights, we filed some petitions with the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) in July and August, calling for the investigation of the following companies/organizations on the flagrant breach of the provisions of the NDPR;
a. INEC
b. Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
c. Tulsa Chanrai Foundation
d. Zenith bank
e. Road traffic services

We equally called on the NDPB to ensure that controllers comply with the global data protection best practices.
