DPC imposes €405M fine and corrective measures on Instagram
The Data Protection Commission (‘DPC’) announced, on 15 September 2022, the
publication of the final decision, as issued on 2 September 2022, in which it imposed a
fine of €405 million on Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, as well as a reprimand and
corrective measures, for violations of Articles 5(1)(a), 5(1)(c), 6(1), 12(1), 24, 25(1),
25(2), and 35(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679)
