Why We Do What We Do

We challenge corporate data exploitation because we want a world where people can control information about them. This will prevent companies from innovating further on surveillance capitalism and personal data exploitation.

Since its inception, PDPAI has been working to advocate data protection law in Nigeria and Africa by: raising awareness of data protection and cybersecurity threats, particularly by big tech corporations; monitoring and reporting non-compliance of organisations to data protection principles, and seeking ways through technology to protect personal information.
