
Somalia’s Data Protection Agency Director Suspended from Duty
The Federal Minister of Communications and Technology has suspended Mohamed Ahmed Ali, Director General of the National Data Protection Agency. The decision, effective from 13 November 2024, comes following his failure to act on recommendations intended to enhance the agency’s performance, as well as his involvement in actions that allegedly disrupted its operations, read part of a statement from the Ministry of Communications.
