China introduces revised cross-border data transfer rules
On March 22, 2024, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) introduced updated cross-border data transfer regulations, effective immediately. The new guidelines, titled “Provisions on Promoting and Regulating Cross-Border Data Flows,” complement the existing Measures for Security Assessment of Cross-Border Data Transfer (July 2022) and the Measures on Standard Contracts for the Export of Personal Information (February 2023).
