
Somalia Launches Data Protection Authority.
Somalia has launched its new Data Protection Authority marking a step towards the establishment of a legal framework to govern data privacy in the country. The authority was inaugurated during a ceremony led by the Federal Government of Somalia’s Communications and Technology Minister Jama Hassan Khalif and attended by government officials, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders.
